Previously, Qualcomm has held its second annually Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii. It was during this event that they dropped the news about their next Snapdragon 845 chipset. According to Qualcomm, they use the 10nm process technology in the current Snapdragon 835, for the 845 variant. Additionally, the new chipset continues to support Gigabit LTE speeds thanks to the new X20 modem. Furthermore, Qualcomm also stated that this new Snapdragon 845 would be making its debut together with various high-end flagships in early 2018.

On the other hand, Snapdragon 845 is most likely to follow the trends of having a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU). Notably, Huawei and Apple had introduced this system in their Kirin 970 and A11 Bionic. Furthermore, Qualcomm has also added more details about the Snapdragon 845. Based on the presentation, Snapdragon 845 chipset can support your  smartphones in capturing 360-degree videos with “Hollywood quality.” Furthermore, this new chipset also enhances your phones in virtual reality contents and built security.
