In the electronics world, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a “do or die” proposition. As a result, Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 chipset just kicked off the price race to give AI for not only flagships but also lower-segment devices. Check it out!
Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 chipset gets AI focus
The company announced a new Snapdragon 700 line of chipsets bringing the advanced AI capabilities of the 800 series at a more affordable price tag. The new chip is likely to use Kryo CPU cores and an Adreno GPU (Spectra ISP and Hexagon vector processor). In addition, the 700 chips are twice as fast in AI tasks compared to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. This includes tasks ranging from machine vision to speech recognition.
On the other hand, the new Snapdragon will do great on the Internet of Things tasks thanks to its advanced connectivity (through Wi-Fi to Bluetooth 5). Also, Qualcomm promises up to 30% improvements in power efficiency compared to the 660 chip. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 chipset has included the Quick Charge 4.0+ tech, which helps to charge a 2,750mAh battery from flat to 50% in 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 700 Series specs unleash the limitless power of the Qualcomm Spectra ISP. You would love capturing your life experiences during the day and night, in slow-motion, or with the help of AI. Besides, there expects a multitude of additional professional grade camera features, supported by high-quality specs.
Which devices are likely to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 chipset?
We expect to see the Snapdragon 700 chipset in premium mid-range phones, but other smart devices as well. Anything that combines AI, screen, and camera or on-device Artificial Intelligence, High-Tier Smartphones are also included in the list. What do you think about Qualcomm new chipset?
