Project Ara delayed: Google’s unique modular phones to come in 2016 instead
Project Ara is a project by Google to release a smart phone that has module parts. The parts can be moved, thus creating very complex problems. To build one smart phone that lets you slide its components here and there is a tough job. That is why up until now, there is no official announcement about the release date of any device within this project. Moreover, recently, Google states that Project Ara is postponed until next year.
Project Ara will not come to us before 2016
Google states that Project Ara is 90% complete, and will be out in the market in 2016 if the progress is good. Since there are so many parts regarding just one device, the progress has been slowed down. However, the project is in its 2nd step with Spiral 2. The phones can connect to 3G, and will support 4G network when the next Spiral 3 is conducted.
Spiral 3 versions from Project Ara, apart from 4G network, can save power and enhance battery life from using an extra battery module.
Project Ara phones could be the new face of the entire mobile world
Additionally, a Project Ara phone lets you exchange its components with new ones. You can change the cover, camera part, or new battery, etc… without having to change to a completely new phone. This can help showcase personality and character.

Or a 21MP camera sensor with a 42MP one
Google also states that they are researching the market to have as much information about users’ taste as possible. Since Project Ara is a new and interesting side to mobile market, it’s understandable that market research is important.
Modular smart phone is really something to expect
Originally a Motorola project, Project Ara is now handled by Google. And with this change, we can hope that it will become a successful one. If this project comes to life, will you buy one ? Price Pony will definitely be happy to own such a unique smart phone.
