Pokemon Go: surpassing Porn in terms of search

Yes, you are hearing it right. Earlier we heard that, Pokemon Go outgrew Tinder, surpass Twitter in terms of users. The game is also said to break the record and bring up to an enormous 7.5 billion dollars for its founding company – Nintendo. However, little would we ever expect, and hardly could be believe that, the catch-em-all childhood game is now wider than the most popular thing ever on the whole internet: porn. Already raising some eyebrows, isn’t it?

And from where did we get such information? Its all from a report on Google Trends data. According to that, search volume for Pokemon Go has remarkably outweighted that for porn over the past days, after the Pokemon Go “fever” started to spread. In order words, let’s say, more and more people are busy searching how to throw a Poke Ball and catch ’em all, rather than those NSFW contents.

I know it’s not easy to believe such a shock. But take a look at the Google Trends chart showing how far ahead Pokemon Go searches (the blue line) is beating porn content searches (the red line) in the picture right above. And you can judge for yourself.

Pokemon Go is no doubt an interesting trend that has huge attraction over millions of users all around the world. However, getting too addicted to such a virtual realistic game is causing a lot of unwanted troubles. Did you read about that guy who lost his job just because he was busy hunting Pokemon during work hours?
