PH internet speed is one of the slowest in Asia and the entire world!
Manila, Philippines is known as one of the social media capitals of the entire world. However, it has been revealed that the country has the slowest internet speed in the entire Asia, and is ranked 158th out of 190 countries globally. Internet speed in PH is only faster than in Syria, Cuba and other African countries.
According to the Net Index rankings by internet broadband testing company Ookla, Philippines has an average speed of 3.64 Megabits per second (Mbps).In comparison, Singapore has 123.43 Mbps, putting it first in Asia, and Hongkong is second with 102.96 Mbps as of the May 2015 rankings.

Living in the Philippines, we all have to face this problem on a daily basis. However, if you look at the bright side, the internet speed has improved compared to last year’s speed of ony 3.4 Mbps. Let’s hope for a future when we can browse the internet and download movie within a blink of time.
