Overwatch new heroes to come soon: The statement from the developer
According to the updates, there will be some important changes made to the hero shooter game soon. Director Jeff Kaplan said that there will be some changes regarding some current heroes such as Widowmaker and Junkrat. Also, one piece of big news was also dropped by the man himself: the inclusion of two new heroes in future updates, with one possibly coming very soon! This has left the gaming community of Overwatch with excitement.
Kaplan revealed that some of the changes are already in testing. Those include an increase in Widowmaker’s scope speed, and Genji can no longer dash through Junkrat’s trap without taking any damage. Players can also use Junkrat’s ultimate skill much quicker too, since the charging time is reduced. These changes are expected to put more balance on the game.
Another hot topic among Overwatch community is the changes made to Symmetra. The game director also revealed that these changes will take a bit of time, unlike with Widowmaker. He left it open that there could be a complete overhaul for the champion as well. That means changes could be applied to her visual design, or her gameplay mechanics, or both. Last but not least, bout the gamers’ request that Symmetra has more healing abilities, the developer said that they are not going to explore the possibility of her as a healer. This may not be pleasant for many gamers, but the choice has been made.
