8. Open WebOS

Open WebOS or just WebOS was developed by Palm Inc., too. Yet, after some years, it belonged to Hewlett-Packard. Back to WebOS launch, it was in 2009 and a number of smartphones and tablets used to feature this OS. HP did promote the WebOS at a very high level but still found it hard to beat Android, and had to announce to discontinue WebOS-based devices lastly. Though, existing users have been assured that they will get regular updates for the WebOS.
