According to the latest report, OPPO is now working on the next generation of their R series. Back in quarter 1 this year, the Chinese brand has officially announced their two OPPO R15 handsets with great design and hardware like 6GB RAM and dual cameras system. Now, it seems like we’re going to meet the next successors of these devices within the year. Similar to the R15, there are going to be a total of two new devices arriving under the name OPPO R17 and R17 Pro.
Today, the OPPO R17 Duo reportedly receive their 3C certification. In details, these phones passed the certification process with model numbers PBEM00 and PBET00. However, their TENAA listing revealed model numbers PBCM00 and PBCT00. As a result, we can expect that either the 3C certification is about other devices, or the TENAA one refers to the R15s and R15 Neo, for example.
On another note, the TENAA listing also shows us some interesting details about the OPPO R17 Duo. Notably, OPPO R17 and R17 Pro design include an Essential-style notch and an in-display fingerprint reader. Moreover, Oppo R17 notch is going to house only a selfie camera and an earpiece in its notch. Besides, on the back, the OPPO R17 camera sports a vertical dual rear cameras system. In addition, regarding the hardware, we caught a very interesting image last week. It was captured at an Oppo-sponsored media event, and as you can see the company has already started to tease the R17. According to our sources, the two OPPO R17 devices are going to have up to 10GB of RAM.
