OPPO R17 is coming
Not long ago, Oppo’s R15 and R15 Pro premium mid-rangers only went official in March. However, the company is already working on a successor for at least one of them. Unsurprisingly, it is going to be called Oppo R17. File that detail under the “unconfirmed rumour” category, however, unlike the name which is pretty much official at this point. Besides, the R17 has the potential to become the first smartphone to sport such a massive amount of memory.
Earlier today, the phone has been revealed today by a Chinese leakster who shared the image below on Weibo. As we witness, the picture was captured at an Oppo-sponsored media event in China. Furthermore, the company has already started to tease the R17. Unfortunately, no other details about the phone have come out of that event. Meanwhile, the same leakster has previously said that the handset will have up to 10GB of RAM.
From another source, it seems that the OPPO handset would work on an impressive triple 50MP cameras. If this does pan out, that will please those who crave more significant numbers on spec sheets ever. Apart from Oppo Find X, the company hasn’t launched a phone with 8 GB of RAM. As you may know, the R15 and R15 Dream Mirror phones have 6GB of RAM. Also, it is previously speculated that OPPO will be launching Oppo R15s and R15s Pro as the successors. However, the company will be launching OPPO R17 instead of R15s series as we learned.
OPPO R17 release date and price
Even the device does not come with the stunning 10GB RAM; the teasing event hints that the OPPO upcoming flagship would come for real.
