OPPO has announced the latest mid-range K5 smartphone, alongside the OPPO Reno Ace flagship phone. As we learned, the K5 smartphone is the successor of the OPPO K3 with some premium specs. They include 64MP quad-camera setup, VOOC 4.0 fast charging technology, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and more… Speaking of the display, the OPPO K5 specs offer a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED (1080 x 2340 pixels).
Additionally, this smartphone comes with an impressive 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering the OPPO smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset with Adreno 618 GPU. Speaking of the storage, this OPPO smartphone comes in different versions: 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card.
Keeping the lights on is a decent 4000mAh juice box. Notably, this OPPO smartphone is the company’s first phone with VOOC 4.0 fast charging technology. Besides, imaging-wise, this handset carries a quad-camera system. It consists of a 64MP Samsung GW1 primary lens (f/1.8), an 8MP super-wide lens (f/2.2), a 2MP macro lens (f/2.4), and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4). Back to the front, this phone features a 32MP AI selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. Furthermore, it also offers some features, including AI Beauty, HDR, portrait mode, face recognition, and 1080p video recording at 30fps. On the software front, the ColorOS 6.1 based Android 9.0 Pie works on the OPPO smartphone.
Release date and price
The new OPPO smartphone is available in October. Meanwhile, regarding the cost, the price tag of this device begins at $266 for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB ROM model, $295 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB version. In addition, the 8GB RAM/ 256GB ROM model is priced at $350.
