OPPO F9 first features Corning Gorilla Glass 6
Corning, cover glass supplier for Apple, Samsung and other device makers, has announced today its ultrastrong Gorilla Glass 6. Whereas, there expects the debut on Oppo’s next flagship phone comes along with the latest glass protection. Concerning the Gorilla Glass 6, the glass has been unveiled in July. Besides, the glass is tested to survive drops from heights of 1 meter (3.28 feet) onto rough surfaces, which is over two years-worth of drops.
As a result, the glass lasted through 15 drops, double the amount of Gorilla Glass 5. Furthermore, the announcement does not mention the specific phone Oppo will feature the new cover glass.
