OPPO A5 appeared online

Aside from making the return to flagships, OPPO is also stepping up its efforts in the affordable segment. According to our sources, Images and specs of the new Oppo A5 have surfaced online. Furthermore, the photo shares the new device’s picture, which is likely a part of Oppo A3, a part of Realme 1 and the A5 its own. Meanwhile, the back is lifted from the Realme phone, though the A5 is slightly thicker.

Regarding OPPO A5 specs, the phone will have a 6.2” screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch (similar to the A3). However, the OPPO phone comes with lower resolution – 720 x 1,520 pixels. Under the hood, the mobile will be powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor, which is allegedly a Snapdragon 450 chipset. As it concerns, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 is a downgrade from the Helio P60.

On the other hand, the memory is the same with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. As we learned so far, the room is possibly expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. Interestingly, the Oppo A5 will be an upgrade over its siblings in two areas. In details, first is the dual camera on its back – 13MP + 2MP. Also, the back is the same even in the sense that there’s no fingerprint reader. Second is the 4,230 mAh capacity is massive by any measure. Furthermore, OPPO A5 camera includes an 8MP front-facing snapper serving face unlock duty, alongside Android Oreo 8.0.

OPPO A5 release date and price
