OnePlus 6 removed Always On Display feature before launch!

OnePlus 6 is a smartphone with great design, various outstanding specifications but at a lower price compared to its competitors. Besides, the company is always trying to satisfy its customers. And since battery saving is one of the most significant features that users care about, the company decided to remove Always On Display feature right before the product launching.

However, the feature was already available on pre-release units. Therefore, after its official launch, in its first and important update, the company has disabled the Always On Display feature. Apparently, the battery life trade-off was deemed too great. In terms of OnePlus 6 specs, it sports a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED touchscreen with the resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. Besides, the phone is going to run on Android 8.1 out-of-the-box.

Under the hood, OnePlus 6 takes power from the Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 chipset. The smartphone goes with at least 6GB of RAM for the standard version and 8GB for the upgraded variant with 64GB/256GB ROM and no card slot for expanding. Moreover, there is also the heart rate sensor. For the photography system, OnePlus 6 camera equips a dual 16MP + 20MP rear snapper. Besides, the OnePlus phone also has a 16MP selfie lens. Finally, the OnePlus handset rocks a non-removable 3300mAh battery box.
