OnePlus 5 Edge: 8GB RAM, 4100mAh battery
Past information stated that OnePlus is skipping the number 4 on its new flagship. This is due to the fact that “4” is considered an unlucky number in China. That’s why OnePlus 5 will be the next flagship from the Chinese Android maker. But today we get to see something totally different. It’s a render of the OnePlus 5 Edge, courtesy of Techconfigurations. Much like the Xiaomi Mi 6, the OnePlus 5 is now said to get two versions. One with normal screen while the Edge version has curved screen edges.
OnePlus 5 Edge has a unibody metal design with waterproofing ability. In terms of OnePlus 5 Edge specs, it will feature a 5.5″ 2K AMOLED display screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone will come in two version: one with 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, the other with 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM. The phone is mounted with a 23MP camera on the back with OIS & EIS, PDAF and dual-LED flash, capable of taking 4K@30fps video. The front camera is 12MP with ultra wide angle view.
Other features include a non-removable 4100mAh battery and fast battery charging technology (Dash Charging). OnePlus 5 Edge is water and dust proof (IP68). The phone also supports USB Type-C and expandable storage up to 256GB via SIM 2 slot. It will run on the latest Android 7.0 version.
