Before being bought over by Microsoft, Nokia had had many smartphones in the X series. However, several of them had been cancelled by Microsoft before reaching mass production. This time, as the contract is expiring soon, our sources are suggesting that Nokia is trying to bring these concept design back into life. Nokia XL 2 is one of the first the resubmerge. And leak started in China showing off a real-life machine.
Nokia XL 2 leak immediately went viral because of its design. It looks undeniably alike to the well known Nokia Lumia 930 in terms of appearance. The metal frame, thickness and dimension all look pretty familiar to its sibling. We would also like to notice that, there are the typical capacitive home buttons on the front that help distinguish Nokia X series to other smartphones.
Talking about Nokia XL 2 specs, our sources suggest a handy 5-inch display that sports 720p resolution. Other than that, there is no confirmation about RAM and other features. However, with 720p resolution, the phone is said to fit in the lower-range smartphone category. Therefore, we are guessing that Nokia XL 2 will pack 2GB RAM, around 20MP camera Pureview and at least 3,000 mAH battery. And most importantly, the phone will be powered by Android OS – currently the most popular operating system in the market.
