Nokia sales grow up to 8.45 million Nokia smartphones in 2017!
Nokia handsets-including both features and smartphones have seen significant growth in shipments in Q4 2017 on a QoQ. According to an analyst firm Counterpoint Research, Nokia handsets shipment reached 21.5 million units in the fourth quarter of 2017. in the third quarter of 2017, 16.3 million Nokia handsets were sold, increasing up to 32% in the fourth quarter.
Furthermore, the launch of feature phones Nokia 3310 have created the 6% market share for HMD Global and 5th rank in the feature phone vendors. According to the analysis:“Nokia HMD shipped 21.5 million handsets in Q4 2017 and ranked 7th among the top ten handset brands during the quarter. The launch of quality smartphone and the diverse portfolio covering multiple price segment is helping Nokia gain further market share.”
In the second quarter of 2017, we witnessed the introduction of 2 handsets: Nokia 2 and Nokia 5. These smartphones have improved the sales of Nokia smartphone significantly in the European market. However, these handsets do not do well in the Chinese market. Currently, all of these figures are estimated by analysts, HMD Global has not released any official report on their sales yet.
