Nokia Phoenix to get power from Snapdragon 710

It looks like that Nokia and Google will be each other rivals in the battle of upper range smartphones. While Google is working on a Snapdragon 710-powered device Bonito, rumours brought out that Nokia is going to release a smartphone with the same chipset as well. According to a popular leakster, HMD Global’s new upper range Nokia Phoenix will be officially available in this fall. The most reliable prediction is at the IFA 2018 launch in September.

On a side note, Snapdragon 710 processor offers an exciting mix of features: some improvements on the 600 series, some trickled down from the 800 line. To this point, it’s safe to say that this chip is more powerful than the existing midrange options have offered until now. Also, in the meantime, let’s take a look at the Nokia’s latest release again. Regarding Nokia 5 2018 specs, the device offers a 5.5-inch IPS LCD with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2160p resolution.

Under the hood, Nokia handset features MediaTek Helio P18 chipset at the core; alongside 2GB or 3GB RAM with 16GB or 32GB ROM (expandable to 128GB). Notably, Nokia 5 2018 camera has a new 16MP lens on its back with Phase detection AF and a dual-tone flash. The selfie camera has an 8MP sensor and an 84.6° lens. Also, there is a 2970mAh energy box, Android Oreo 8.0, 3.5mm audio jack, expected Wi-Fi and Bluetooth goodies.
