Nokia Lumia Tablet has never been seen: Mecury
There has been a tablet spotted on the internet called Mecury. The device would not be able to draw that much attention from people if it did not look like a Lumia tablet – Nokia 2520, a tablet produced by Nokia 2 years ago.
Mecury: A perfect combination of a Lumia and a Surface
However, please note that this is a Microsoft tablet as we can see their logo on the back of the machine clearly. Though Surface series is still a flagship tablet of Microsoft (the latest ones are Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book), according to a Twitter account @evleaks, the company used to want to release another line-up whose members would come with smaller size and cost less than a Surface. And the one we are mentioning is Mecury.
Interestingly, some people have a feeling that the Mecury is a combination of a Lumia smartphone and a Surface Pro because of its design and color, and the size is somewhere in the middle. In other words, it is an enlarged version of the Lumia phone and shrunken one of the Surface Pro. Anyhow, no matter what it is similar to, we have to admit the Mecury is beautiful, especially its blue Cyan color in the pics. Do you agree?
Thanks to the leak, we have a chance to see how pretty the Mecury is but no official word has been made for its specifications. One thing we notice is that the rear is likely to be made of Polycarbonate. Besides, there are slots for SIM and microSD card, a 7 to 8-inch screen, a dual front-facing speaker at the bottom of the tablet, and a front camera.
Mecury price and available
We don’t know why Microsoft did not announce Mecury but there is a hope that maybe Nokia will introduce something like this next year. As for Mecury price, if more affordable than a Surface, we guess it could cost around $250. What do you think? Share with us your opinions!
