Many smartphones nowadays are equipped with advanced features like waterproof features or “Always on display”. However, Nokia feature phones have introduced them all the way back. Let’s have a look!
Nokia features: waterproof, no headphone jack
First is the waterproof feature. Many flagships of Samsung, Sony, and recently Apple are equipped with this features. However, all the Nokia feature phones already have this function. Although being dropped in the water, put in the washing machine, or dropped from the balcony, Nokia feature phones still survive and work well. Secondly, iPhone 7 (Plus), as well as LeEco Le max 2, comes with no 3.5mm headphone jack. Nokia features already have that. You can listen to the music through speakers.
Thirdly, smartphones nowadays are backed up with an enormous battery capacity. Galaxy A9 Pro of Samsung with 5000mAh is a typical example. However, these long-life battery phones basically can’t compete with Nokia feature phones. With just 800mAh cell, Nokia phones still can last from 3-5 days. Furthermore, many smartphone brands want to make the charging port convenient as much as possible like USB Type – C or Lightning. You don’t have to worry about Nokia feature phones, which have round charging port.
The fifth feature is the “Always on display” mode. This mode will display some basic information on the screen while it’s still off. This will help you to save phone battery. Many companies like LG, Samsung, or Motorola added the “Always on display” for their products (Note 7, Moto Z Force). However, this feature is borrowed from Nokia phones. Nokia 1202 or 1280 will display the name, time and date on the screen.
Nokia feature phones: Ahead of their time
Waterproof features or long-life battery, convenient charging port, “Always on display” mode, or no headphone jack; those are all the cool features of many smartphones today. However, they have all been on Nokia feature phones before. Those Nokia phones are truly ahead of their time with some features.
