Nokia D1C: another mysterious Android smartphone from Nokia
Nokia C1 and P1 leaked render has bolstered everyone’s confidence of Nokia comeback after two years absence from smartphones market. And now, the revelation of D1C on Geekbench recently gave all tech-addicts more reasons to believe…
Nokia D1C: 3GB Ram, Android 7.0 Nougat
Nokia might mark their return to the smartphones market with a mid-range device named D1C instead of a high-end smartphone. Specifically, on the Geekbench, there has appeared a yet-to-be-revealed smartphone called Nokia D1C. The score of this device makes it fit into the affordable price group, with 682 points for single-core and multi-core is 3,229 points. In terms of specs, Nokia D1C is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC, clocked at 1.4 GHz, the accompanying Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Geekbench also discloses that D1C runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
Curious as we all are, no information on display size, camera setup and other specs of this Nokia smartphone has yet to be revealed. Although the company has not confirmed the existence of any smartphone after the termination of the contract with Microsoft, Nokia comeback to the smartphones market is totally reasonable. Based on the agreement in that contract, Finnish electronics corporation will get the right to use Nokia brand at the end of 2016, and that time is approaching.
However, Nokia will not directly produce new devices, because they have a franchise with HMD in terms of brand. HMD is the company headquartered in Finland who exclusive own global license to create Nokia-branded mobile phones and tablets for the next ten years.
Nokia D1C: the evidence of Nokia comeback
It can be seen as the first time we really see a tangible evidence of an upcoming Nokia smartphone, running Android. With all the fans of Nokia worldwide, this would be the best new today. We are all looking forward to a glorious return of this grand manufacture, and a mid-range Android smartphone like Nokia D1C is a totally expected device.
