There has been a rumor that HMD Global pet project got a smaller variant: the Nokia Curren Mini. And since this is a pet project we are talking about, this phone is unlike anything on the market.
Nokia Curren Mini specs: 6GB RAM
As with secret project goes, little is known about the Current Mini. Some leaked email suggests that the device is going to have PureView design. For know pure view is a gimmick when phones with infinite display (read Samsung galaxy note 8) open camera mode and pretend to be crystal clear. But this is a design, It could very well mean that we can start cropping what we see into an image as if it were like the Note 8 poster. If HMD global pulls this feat of engineering off, they are sure to be the best phone maker of the decade.
Regarding specs, the details are more specific. For instance, the Nokia Curren Mini specs feature a Snapdragon 835 chipset on a 10-cores CPU. Memory measures 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. Some of the leaks mention about an “Overclock” mode but we have seen no explanation. The name Google also turned up in the leaks. It is possible that the device will have a very advanced version of the Android OS or its very own operating system.
Sadly, other than 24MP, nothing else mentioned can be point towards a camera. However, as mention above, the PureView design may be involved here. It is possible that the device has a dual 24MP camera that can flip back and forth. This is the best possible scenario as there is only one camera. There may also be a stand-alone software just for photography.
Nokia Curren Mini release date: still a mystery
Since this is a pet project and the prototype is still in testing, there is unlikely to be a release date anytime soon. However, we will keep updating if more details emerge.
