Secondly, uninstall unused apps. Even after a few months of intensive use, smartphones are slower than after the purchase, a lot of installed apps are one of the reasons. Thirdly, do not use animated background images. Surely, live wallpapers, they are beautiful to look at, but over time they slow down your mobile phone. Fourthly, turn off the auto synchronization. This takes lots of resources and very frequent syncing can lead to very bad system performance because of being a memory-hog.

Lastly, free up storage space! Another reason, why your phone gets slow, is a memory space stuffed with vast amounts of videos, photos or GIFs. All these things occupy the internal memory and will slow down the device over time. Therefore, you should delete all old pics and vids on your device or storing your data externally via microSD card (if it is possible) or move them to a cloud such as Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive to gain more space.
