All Nokia Android phones are going to upgrade to Android 9 Pie soon!
Just last week, Google has finally unveiled their latest Android operating system version under the name Android Pie. For now, only Google Pixel and Essential handsets are eligible to download the new OS. As a result, many smartphones manufacturers also announced their plan to upgrade their devices to Android 9.0 Pie. On the other hand, HMD Global was quick to update their fans on the Android upgrade timeline. Today, the Finnish brand has shared that they plan to provide all users with Android 9 Pie updates. Notably, the Android 9.0 Pie is going to arrive on all Android-based Nokia phones. Even if you are using the low-end Nokia 2, you can still download and upgrade it to Android 9.0 Pie.
For now, here are all the Nokia smartphones on the list to get Android 9 Pie. Firstly, we have the low-end Nokia 1 (Android Go), Nokia 2, Nokia 2.1 (Android Go), Nokia 3, Nokia 3.1. Moreover, there is also the mid-range Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 6, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 (China-exclusive), Nokia 7 Plus. Additionally, the latest Nokia X6 (China-exclusive), and Nokia X5 (China-exclusive) are also on the list. Finally, we finish with the high-end models: Nokia 8, and Nokia 8 Sirocco. Previously, the Nokia 7 Plus was the only HMD smartphone enrolled in the Developer Preview program. As a result, we can believe this device to be the first to be updated to Android 9 Pie.
