Nokia 9 PureView goes official with the five-camera system and more!

While triple or quad-camera is still the popular trend among smartphone manufacturers, HMD Global took the first step toward the penta-lens design! This February, the long-rumored Nokia 9 PureView has finally made its first appearance at the MWC event in Barcelona. Without a doubt, it is the first ever smartphone to feature an impressive five rear camera lenses at the back!

Firstly, Nokia 9 PureView camera setup packs five 12MP sensors on the back, all sitting behind f/1.8 Zeiss lens. In details, two of these are RGB and the other three are monochrome. Besides, there is also a sixth lens here – a ToF one – for additional depth information. Overall, the Nokia 9 Pureview promises unmatched scene depth detection and spectacular dynamic range. Up front, it also sports a 20MP (f/1.8, 1.0µm) selfie camera.

On the other hand, Nokia 9 PureView specs include a 5.99 inches P-OLED screen (1440 x 2880 pixels, 18:9 ratio). Under the hood, the Nokia device runs on Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 (10 nm). Regarding the battery box, it packs a non-removable Li-Po 3320mAh juice box. It supports fast wired charging (QC3 and USB PD), as well as 10W wireless charging. As for the storage, the smartphone offers 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM (no card slot). Besides, the Nokia 9 is going to come with Android One (Pie version) out of the box.
