HMD’s recent release, Nokia 8 Sirocco is a great handset with impressive design and powerful specs like 6GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Take a look at our Nokia 8 Sirocco review today!
Nokia 8 Sirocco review hands-on
Nokia 8 Sirocco looks and feels fantastic with a curved display and a glass sandwich design. The phone is incredibly thin too at 7.5mm (Galaxy S9 at 7.6mm). On the front, we have an all-screen 5.5-inch pOLED display with significantly reduced side bezels. Moreover, Nokia 8 Sirocco features Android Oreo (Android One program). As a result, it gets faster updates than other Samsung 2018’s devices.
There’s one big problem with this “ultra-compact powerhouse” that’s supposed to go against the Galaxy S8. While most flagships this year feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chip, this Nokia 8 version skips it and goes for Snapdragon 835. Besides, the phone packs 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Furthermore, the 3,260 mAh battery supports fast/Qi wireless charging (50% in 30 min). Also, the Nokia 8 Sirocco also features IP67 dust and water resistance.
On the back, there is a dual-lens Zeiss-branded camera sits, right above a fingerprint sensor. Also, the selfie shooter also features a Zeiss lens, and Dual-Sight, one of Nokia’s shooting modes (capturing by both cameras at a time). Meanwhile, other camera features include ISO, shutter speed and exposure.
Nokia 8 Sirocco release date and price
So far, it got an ambitious all-screen design and incredible build quality. As a result, it is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this year’s MWC, and one of the best Android phones you’ll be able to buy in the coming months. If you want a Nokia flagship with the powerful Snapdragon chipset, Nokia 8 Sirocco price might be around $923 ~ Rs. 59857 in April when it launches. Stay tuned with us for Nokia latest updates!
