Nokia 8.1 6GB RAM India launch

Last month, HMD Global launched its mid-range handset, the Nokia 8.1 in India. At the moment, the handset was available only in a 4GB RAM + 64GB version. Also, the manufacturer was once revealed the 6GB+128GB variant later. As a result, the company officially announced that this new version would go on sale starting next week. Furthermore, the 128GB model would offer the same color options as the standard variant.

Regarding the Nokia 8.1 specs, the handset offers a 6.18-inch full HD+ IPS LCD panel with 1080 x 2244 pixels. Moreover, the phone screen arrives with the 18.7:9 aspect ratio and HRD brightness of 500 nits. Under the hood, the variant features the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and Adreno 512 GPU. Besides, the Nokia 8.1 6GB+128GB version gets dual SIM support and nano-SIM cards.

How about the photography system? In details, Nokia 8.1 camera sports a 12MP Zeiss optics + 13MP depth-sensing sensor. Also, the primary sensor on the rear offers OIS, EIS and dual LED flash. Meanwhile, there would be a 20MP fixed focus lens with 0.9-micron pixels for selfies and video calling. Interestingly, the optics department also features “Bothies” help using both the front and rear cameras at the same time. Whereas, the Nokia handset packs a 3,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

As we learned, Nokia’s 8.1 6GB+128GB version is on sale starting February 6 in India. Moreover, Nokia 8.1 6GB RAM price starts at INR 29,999 via Amazon.in and Nokia’s online store. Meanwhile, people can pre-book the phone starting today, February 1, 2019. For other discounts and deals, the company offers up to 1TB of 4G data. For Airtel postpaid users, there is data benefits of 120GB date, three months of Netflix and one year of Amazon Prime subscriptions for free. For HDFC credit or debit cards users who buy the device between February 6-17, there would be 10% cashback. With purchase between February 18-28, the cashback reduces to 5%. For exchange offer, there comes with an additional INR 2,500 discount between February 6-17, and INR 1,500 between 18-28. Also, there is a gift card worth INR 3,000 when purchasing via Noks website.
