Nokia 7 Plus Gets Android P Beta 3 update
The latest version of the Android P Beta 3 Developer Preview 4 is now available to download for the Nokia 7 Plus. For those that don’t know, the latest Android P system focuses on simplicity, intelligence and other new features. The update has rolled out for devices like Sony Xperia XZ2, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21, etc. According to our source, HMD Global has finally started seeding Android P Beta 3 to the Nokia 7 Plus through DP4.
Previously, it was pushed toward Google Pixel smartphones a couple of weeks ago. The latest OTA update will thus make it easy for Nokia users to try out Google’s newest interface rather than side-loading the update manually. Weighing in at around 1/4GB, the OTA update comes with build number V3.110; alongside the July 2018 batch of Android security updates. Users who want to retain back to their old Android Oreo version can flash another OTA.
However, think carefully before doing so, as it will wipe out the user data. In order to get the Android P update on your Nokia 7 Plus, you’ll need to register your device at Nokia Developer page. Then fill in your credentials, location and IMEI number. Once you have done that, the phone will be on the list of devices to be pushed an update to. After that, you can download and follow the instruction to install the developer preview.
Android P Beta 3 update issue
A little heads-up, there are still some issues worth noting. This beta isn’t meant to be used on users’ daily devices since general stability and power consumption hasn’t completely ironed out. Bluetooth also might act up. Meanwhile, some apps may not work properly with the unreleased Android version.
