Nokia 6 has just launched for $250 in China. However, it might be not only China anymore. We get a glimmer of hope that it might reach other markets.
Nokia 6 is available in China on 19 January 2017
Nokia has just launch Nokia 6, the first smartphone under the brand Nokia after 2 years. We already have an article about Nokia 6 official announcement. However, let’s review it again. Nokia 6 specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD. Besides, it features a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 16MP main camera along with an 8MP selfie snapper for photography. This device is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery.
On 11 January the phone has become open for reservations in China, with just a CNY 66 ($9 or €9) deposit required to make sure you will be among the first to pick one up when it actually goes on sale. Speaking of which, the Nokia 6 will become available in China on January 19 at 10 AM through JD.com, the country’s biggest online retailer. The handset’s price is CNY 1,699, which is around $245 or €231 right now.
According to a leaked picture that we have, a nee variant of the Nokia 6 passed Bluetooth certification. Along side with the original model number TA-1000, there is another one which is numbered as TA-1003 and it might just be the global variant that is going to be revealed at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.
Nokia 6: when will it go global?
Nokia has officially said on its Facebook page that it will new announcements on February 26. Just one day before the World Mobile Congress 2017 in Barcelona. WMC is the world’s biggest mobile expo, when there are many expected phones will be unveiled. It is included the world’s biggest phone makers like LG and possibly Samsung. Although Mokia 6 might not be a particularly impressive phone because they are set at mid-range price. It will be good to see revived Nokia go global as that will mean we will also get the more interesting models coming down the line.
