As you may know, the Nokia X6 made its first debut in China. Today, HMD has decided to bring the Nokia X6 global variant to the rest of the world under a new name – Nokia 6.1 Plus. In details, the Nokia X6 global rollout starts with Hond Kong! Meanwhile, other global regions are expected to receive the smartphone at some point in the future. Now, let’s have a look at Nokia 6.1 Plus specs! First, this Nokia handset is HMD Global’s first phone to come with a notch display.
On top of that, we spot the fingerprint sensor placed on the back. Additionally, the Nokia phone has a glossy finish thanks to an all-glass design. In term of the size, the handset offers a 5.8 inch TFT display with a 2280 x 1080 px resolution. Furthermore, the smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. The Nokia 6.1 Plus features identical hardware to its Chinese counterpart with the only difference being the software.
The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and is a part of the Android One program. We do have to note, though, that while the original Nokia X6 comes with various storage configurations, the 6.1 Plus version comes only in 4GB/64GB option. How about the photography system? Nokia 6.1 Plus camera packs a dual 16MP+5MP snapper on the back. Meanwhile, the Nokia device equips another 16MP selfie shooter (f/2.0). Additionally, the Nokia smartphone carries a non-removable 3060mAh battery box.
