Nokia 230 official: bringing back the best selling feature phone
If you are some how missing those simple feature phones among the sea of smartphones nowadays, here is good news for you: Microsoft has just brought back 2 brand new basic phones: Nokia 230 and its dual-SIM variant!
Nokia 230: latest Nokia models of feature phones
Yes, the duo are not touch-screen smartphones. In stead, they are the basic mobile phones with physical keyboards that run on the popular Series 30+ platform. Visually, both handsets feature a very refreshed look with metal body and the signature Nokia brand name proudly on the back (though it is released by Microsoft). These latest Nokia phones sport 2.8 inch displays with a resolution of 240 x 320, 12MB RAM and 2MP sensors for both rear and front cameras! Yes, they do have a selfie shooter, surprise?
Despite having quite basic specs, Nokia 230 still offers some essential apps that meet today’s demands. The phone is pre-installed with Opera Mini, Bing Search and even a MSN Weather (Yes, this means it has internet connection!). To make it even more appealing, you will see Bluetooth 3.o connectivity, an FM radio receiver, dual band network with a speed of 900MHz/1800MHz and so on. It is not so fast but at least you can get connected any time necessary!
What is also very nice about these phones is that, despite only 2MP sensor, both the front and rear cameras of Nokia 230 come with LED flashes, which is usually missing even from many higher-end smartphones. The LED Flashes both make it easier for you when finding things in the dark, and taking pictures under low light conditions.
Nokia 230: one rare dirt cheap phone of today’s market
The Nokia 230 price is set around $55, and will hit the shelves in December 2015. If you are a bit overwhelmed with the huge variety of smartphones nowadays, or basically want to have a dirt cheap phone, or you are looking for a present to your elders, who wouldn’t find it easy to catch up technology, the Nokia 230 is there for you.
