On September, along with Android Nougat, the new smartphones from Nexus brand will also be introduced. So, what have we known about the Nexus phone 2016 so far? Ler’s find out below!
Nexus phone 2016: the first Android Nougat smartphones
Last year, Goole cooperated with LG and HTC to release Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. This year, this search giant will continue with 2 Nexus phones. However, HTC will be in charge of a whole production of 2 new phones. These phones will feature pressure-sensitive screens which may become the standard of Android. And, of course, they’ll run on Android Nougat. How about their names? Well, it’s said that they will be M1 (or Marlin) and S1 (or Sailfish). Let’s have a look at these Nexus phone specs!
The first Nexus phone 2016 is Sailfish which is the successor of Nexus 5X. The phone seems to be better than Nexus 5X with a combo of 8MP/12MP camera, a 2770mAh cell, a 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB ROM. However, it comes with a smaller Full HD AMOLED display with 5 inches and a quad-core 2GHz 64-bit processor. In addition to this Nexus phone specs, there will be a fingerprint scanner next to the camera, a USB Type-C, speakers/single bottom firing speaker and Bluetooth 5.
Next is M1. This one is reported to be the successor of Nexus 6P. Marlin will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm processor. It features a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD display and a 12MP rear cam. The handset will pack a  4GB of RAM paired with a 32/128GB ROM. Some of Marlin specs will be the same as its predecessor: an 8MP front shooter, a 3450mAh battery life, and a USB Type-C port. The biggest missing on this device compared to Nexus 6P is the lack of front-facing speakers.
Nexus phone 2016: HTC won again
This year, HTC had won to manufacture the two new phones for Google. This is not the first time HTC won the contract. Back in 2010, the first Nexus phone- Nexus One- also was manufactured by HTC. In 2015, this Chinese company released Nexus 6P. For the Nexus phone 2016 contract, Huawei was also in the race. However, Google chose HTC instead. Well, that’s all we know about Nexus phone 2016. So, just stay tuned and keep yourself updated.
