New Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 – Intel processor instead of NVIDIA Tegra K1?
This week, an anniversary of Xiaomi will be celebrated in order to mark five years growth of the company well. So, which thing is better than introducing new devices. We hope that the company will launch the beast Xiaomi Mi Note Plus in the event. But what’s about a new tablet? According to some reports, the alleged Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will probably come with us in the event.
The leaked photo and the specs of the device has been leaked thanks to Weibo – Chinese social media. The report speculates that the images could be fake however cuz there is no Mi branding top of the pictured tablet and its overall design is drastically different from the current MiPad. The screen size, however, will keep the same at 7.9 inches diagonal along with a 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution as the previous Xiaomi Mi Pad.
Moreover, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 reportedly ship 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of on-board memory. It may also come preinstalled with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, with MIUI custom skin loaded on top. Thanks to the heavily forked MIUI Android interface, users of Xiaomi devices get a lot of features with weekly updates.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad was the world’s first ever NVIDIA Tegra K1 device but it seems that the new tablet will pack an Intel chipset (1.8 GHz) somehow.
We’re not sure for a official launch of Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 or the leaked photos are fake or not. But everything will be much clearer this week. But from now, we can only speculate and update more. So, let wait for more info.
