The new and improved iOS 12: redesigned Stocks app, deeper Siri integration!

The latest update to the iOS system is already in development at Apple’s headquarters in California. Let’s see what iOS 12 new software version has to offer!

The new and improved iOS 12

New iOS 12 release date rumours put the developer beta in less than two months. Thus, making it the next big update for your iPhone and iPad now that iOS 11.3 is out. The new software features, however, are always filled with some unexpected and exciting news. We anticipate groundbreaking ideas, but also a healthy dose fixes given our many ongoing iOS 11 problems. According to our source, iOS 12 is going to focus heavily on bug fixes and refinements to the underlying code, addressing performance and quality issues.

Users could even remove features. With all the analytics that Apple collects from its iPhone and iPad users, we’d be amazed if there isn’t a subset of functionality that nobody uses. Several other features have been rumoured for the iOS 12 update, such as the following: a redesigned Stocks app; deeper Siri integration in Photos for search purposes. An enhanced version of Do Not Disturb that will offer users more options to reject calls automatically and so on.

Bonus fact: Apple decided to delay several features that they initially planned for iOS 12 to focus more effort on under-the-hood fixes and improvements. Instead perhaps delaying these features for a year and introducing them in the next iOS 13. Features cut include the following: redesigned Home screen, revamped Photos app able to suggest images to view. Multiple windows for a single app on iPad, with a tab view and a Mail feature for muting notifications from specific threads.

iOS 12 release date

For the past four years, Apple has announced iOS to the public in the second week of September, either on Tuesday or Wednesday. So expect the new iOS 12 to release on Tuesday 18 September 2018.
