Motorola Moto Z3 Play official specs

Motorola has just unveiled the Moto Z3 Play yesterday. The phone comes just one year after the Moto Z2 Play debut and pioneers the new Z3 series. In details, the Z3 Play, just like the previous Z phones, builds around the Moto Mods concept. This means it accepts all existing Moto Mods and as such is rather limited when it comes to design. Besides, the phone has a thin aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass 3 panels for both the front and the back.

While the Motorola Moto Z3 Play specs are keeping the same footprint as the Z and Z2 device, the maker includes a tall 6-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The bezels are trimmed significantly, especially around the chin. Thus, making the fingerprint sensor moves to the left side – just like on the Xperia collection a while back. Underhood, the Moto Z3 Play runs Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with eight Kryo 260 cores and a new Adreno 509 GPU.

Regarding the storage options, both the 32GB and 64GB variants will come with 4GB RAM (expandable up to 400GB). The optics department gets some upgrade, too. The main rear camera at keeps the 12MP sensor, sitting behind a f/1.7 lens. It also receives a secondary 5MP snapper with Dual-Pixel autofocus mode as well as the dual-tone LED flash. The selfie camera is now 8MP with an aperture of f/2.0, no flash included. Another thing that has disappeared since the Z2 Play is the audio jack. On top of that, the Motorola handset houses a 3000mAh battery inside its thin body and supports TurboPower 15W charging. Lastly, it runs on Android Oreo system with all Moto perks available such as Moto Display, Actions, Camera, etc.

Motorola Moto Z3 Play official release date and price

The device is going to hit the US market soon with Motorola Moto Z3 Play price tag of $499 ~ Rs. 33, 522 for the unlocked version.
