Motorola Moto G6 Plus new variant show off 6GB RAM and SnD 660
Some leaked photos have surfaced online today suggest Motorola is working on an upgraded version of the Moto G6 Plus. The current variant, which launched last month, comes with Snapdragon 630 chipset at the core, in contrast to previous rumors of a SnD 660. However, these new Motorola Moto G6 Plus live images indicate otherwise. As can be seen in the pics, the device sports a Snapdragon 660 which should provide significant improvements over the 630 processor.
After all, the new octa-core chip will offer improved speeds and should be coupled with an improved GPU as well. Furthermore, the new chip also supports faster memory speeds. Speaking of which, this upgraded Moto G6 Plus will include 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, it’s worth noting that a variant with 128GB ROM will most probably be out soon. Apart from these improvements, the rest of the spec sheet remains the same.
In details, Motorola Moto G6 Plus specs feature a 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with the resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and the 18:9 ratio. Regarding the optics, Motorola Moto G6 Plus camera systems feature a dual 12MP + 5MP rear sensor with phase detection autofocus, and dual-Led dual-tone flash. Meanwhile, the selfie shooter has 16MP with LED flash. Finally, the handset operates on Android Oreo and draws a battery of 3200mAh.
Motorola Moto G6 Plus new variant release date and price
There’s no word on pricing for the new G6 Plus variant yet, or exactly when to expect it. That said, keep in mind that Motorola has an event coming up in Brazil on June 6, so that might be when it will officially unveil the new model, alongside the Moto Z3 Play.
