After Moto Z and Z Force, Motorola is planning to add another member to this Z series – Moto Z Play. This will be a decent budget phone with 3GB RAM, an octa-core processor.
Moto Z Play: a budget member in Moto Z family
About two months ago, Lenovo or Motorola released its two products in the whole new Z series. They are Moto Z and Moto Z Force. And now this lineup is gonna welcome another member -Moto Z Play. This third member will be the affordable device in this Moto Z family. In the early of this month, Moto Z Play specs leaked online. Although being a reasonable device, the new Lenovo phone is still a decent handset.
Moto Z Play will be powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor. To ensure the performance, the company will add a 3GB of RAM paired with a 64GB of inbuilt storage. The phone will come with a 5.5-inch screen with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 px. It is backed up with a 3510 mAh battery life. If you’re a photography lover, you won’t be disappointed with the camera: 16MP main cam and a 5MP selfie snapper. It will run on Android 6.0.1 OS.
Not only the specs, even Moto Z Play design is leaked. There have been some images of the phone showing up on the Internet. And it looks like its two predecessors: Moto Z and Z Force. There is not much change. This new phone sports a huge camera protruded on the back and a fingerprint sensor on the front. However, there is still a big difference between these phones. The rear panel of Z Play is made of plastic/glass, instead of aluminum like the others.
Moto Z Play: a mid-range modular phone
It seems like that the Chinese brand is focusing on the modular phones. Because this Lenovo new handset is also a modular phone. In the pictures, you can easily see 16 connector dots on the back. And of course, the company will support Moto Mod accessories to the phone. With this new device, Motorola is aiming at the mid-range segment. Moto Z Play price is expected to be about $300. And Moto Z Play release date could probably at the end of this year.
