Motorola is working on the new Moto X which would be released this year. Now, let’s take a look at all the information we’ve got so far and see what this device can offer.
Moto X (2017): SND 625, Dual rear cameras
At MWC 2017, Motorola officially announced the Moto G5 Plus. However, the company is still working on a different device to release this year. This device is expected to be called Moto X (2017). Today we’ve got our hands on the latest leaked images of this new smartphone. According to the source the device in picture is the real X (2017) from Motorola. The 2017 edition comes with a full metal body, a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, a front-facing LED flash, and a dual rear camera setup. The overall design is very similar to what we’ve seen on the Moto G5 duo.
The Moto X (2017) is said to boast a 5.5″ touchscreen with Full HD resolution. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 625 chipset that’s also inside the Moto Z Play. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage at first with other memory versions may follow shortly after. Apart from the dual camera setup on the back, Moto X (2017) specs are almost identical with the Moto Z Play specs.
Other features include a non-removable battery of unknown capacity and fast battery charging technology. The phone also supports expandable storage up to 256GB. Luckily enough, it still keeps the 3.5mm audio jack. The phone will run on the latest Android 7.0 version out of the box.
Moto X (2017): price and availability
A release time wasn’t leaked with the images. But for the Moto X (2017) price tag, this device will likely be around the Z Play price tag. However, the X (2017) has dual back cameras while the Z Play does not. Instead, the X (2017) lacks the modular design of the Z Play.
