MIUI 9.5 Update Arrives on 30 Xiaomi Smartphones this March!
Just last January, Xiaomi has announced that they are bringing the MIUI 9 version to 40 Xiaomi handsets. Particularly, the MIUI 9 is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, but it comes with substantial customisation. However, Xiaomi old devices which launched six years ago can receive this new skin. In compared to other smartphones manufacturers, this is a wise move from Xiaomi to support their customers.
Furthermore, the Chinese brand announces today that over 30 Xiaomi phones can update to Global Stable MIUI 9.5 ROM. The new update is going to bring more features, including New Notification Shade for Bundles Notifications. There is also a new shade for Quick Reply option. Additionally, the MIUI 9.5 carries the security updates with heavy customisation apps. Similar to the MIUI 9, the 9.5 version also based on Android Nougat 7.0.
For the list of Xiaomi devices, here are what we know so far. Firstly, we have the whole new Redmi 5 series, starting with Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi 5A. There is also the Xiaomi Mi 5X and Xiaomi Redmi 5. Secondly, the Redmi 4 and Y1 handsets even make it into the list. Furthermore, we see the appearance of some Xiaomi flagship devices, such as Xiaomi Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi Max and Redmi Note. Finally, Xiaomi is also updating the MIUI on the old or low-end smartphones. Notably, we have the Xiaomi Redmi Note, Xiaomi Mi 2S and even Xiaomi Mi 2.
