EA Access subscribers are going to be very happy. EA has announced that there will be two more games joining the roster for free. One of them, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, has just been out for only a few months!
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst to come to EA Access soon!
As we have reported, EA will be adding more games to its roster for EA Access subscribers. EA has recently announced two additions to the roster of games subscribers can get access to for free (obviously, you have to subscribe first). Those two games will be Mirror’s Edge and its sequel, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Those games will be available in the EA Access Vault on Wednesday, November 9, which is very close to us now. As usual, those games will be yours to play forever, as long as you remain a subscriber.
The addition of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is a bit of a surprise, considering that the game was only released in June this year. It means that the game has only been on sale for a total of five months since release, and now it is accessible for EA Access subscribers already. It usually takes more than that for a new game to be available in the Vault. However, this is not the first games become available in the Vault after a short period of sales. Notable examples are Unravel and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. Remember, before this year ends, we will also have Star Wars Battlefront, which was released last year.
To become an EA Access subscriber, you will have to pay $5 per month, or $30 yearly. You will then be offered early access and discounts on games, as well as having the benefits of accessing the bunch of free Vault games. Until now, EA has not said anything about whether the same service for PC, Origin Access, will offer the same games. If you own a PS4, you are out of luck: an Access version for the console does not exist yet!
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst on EA Access: Hopeful future
With Mirror’s Edge Catalyst being available for subscribers so soon, we hope that in the future games will be available in the Vault much sooner. Are you looking forward to future Vault games?
