Micromax Android Go phone is coming to India this month!

Previously, Google has announced the release of the Android Oreo Go Edition. According to Google, this operating system is mainly for the low-end phones with low memory and data usage. Furthermore, it includes the streamlined operating system and default application optimisation. Besides, Android Oreo Go also consists of an optimised version of Google Play Store that offers lightweight applications for users.

Google has already partnered with many India smartphone manufacturers. Today, we receive the news about an upcoming new Android Go phone from Google and Micromax. In details, this new handset can come with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with the resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Under the hood, the Micromax handset has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. There can also be an expandable storage of 128GB via microSD.

Furthermore, Qualcomm and MediaTek will also participate in the making of this Micromax handset. The two manufacturers will help optimise their chipsets for the best Go performance. On the other hand, the Micromax phone is going to have a 4000mAh non-removable battery. As for the photography, the Micromax low-end phone camera will likely include an 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Additionally, more brands are on board with the production of this low-budget Go phones. Some of them include Intex, Lava, Karbonn. We can expect these low-end handsets to have similar price tags.
