Mediatek’s Helio X30 specs
The Taiwanese company Mediatek is working seriously to make a change in their business and how users consider their products. Remember this time last year, a lot of fans would go for a Snapdragon chip set instead of a MTK model. But the situation is changing considerably by now.
Mediatek is going to release a brand new smartphone processor, which will be Helio X30 – brother to former Helio X10 and X20. First leaking news suggest that this Helio X30 will sport 10 core architecture using a 16nm FinFET process. It will also go with 2 x 1.0Ghz Cortex A53, 2 x 1.5Ghz, 2 x 2Ghz and 4 x Cortex A72 running at 2.5Ghz. More amazingly, the chip set will support a maximum of 4GB LPDDR4 1600MhZ RAM, and a Mali T880 GPU.
It seems that we are not going to see new flagships powered by Mediatek Helio X30 before December – the high season for smartphone producers. Like a tradition, it won’t be unexpected if we see the first product to run this advanced SoC, probably early in 2016, is a Chinese handset.
