MediaTek Helio P70 AnTuTu score: higher than SnD 660 and Exynos 7872!
Previously, MediaTek has stated that they are going to focus more on the mid-range chipset division in 2018. To prove their words, they are now getting to release two new processors: Helio P40 and Helio P70. Furthermore, the latter has also appeared on AnTuTu websites not long ago. Overall, the MediaTek Helio P70 receives a fantastic score of 156,906. This result is even higher than the Helio X30, Snapdragon 660 and Exynos 7872.
In details, the MediaTek Helio P70 scored 73,969 in CPU, which is above its upper mid-range competitors from Snapdragon or Samsung. However, the MediaTek chip falls behind the SD660 and Helio X30 regarding GPU with only 30,737. In terms of the UX score, this midrange chipset has the result of 41,089, outperformed only by the flagship Helio X30. On the other hand, it is leading the SoC race in RAM with 11,111.
The cumulative score of MediaTek Helio P70 is almost 157,000! This number is higher than the result of a Snapdragon 821 in the LG G6, or a Snapdragon 835 chip in the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. As for the chipset itself, MediaTek Helio P70 specs include octa-core CPU, Mali G72 MP4 GPU, and Category 13 LTE modem. Moreover, the Helio P70 is expected to be built on the 12nm process by TSMC.

For now, MediaTek hasn’t yet to announce any smartphone manufacturers that are going to use the chipset. However, we can expect to sport this new mid-range chipset on some upcoming budget-friendly phones from Chinese brands like Huawei, Xiaomi or Vivo. What do you think?
