1. ALCATEL 5 SERIES
Top of the list we have a candidate comes from a French flagship – Alcatel 5 series. Alcatel is a brand that’s known as an affordable price tag. Recently, with its latest range of Android smartphones, there’s a transparent attempt at bringing premium design to the budget end of the market. This new phone looks sharp and detailed. The Alcatel 5 boasts a 5.7-inch metal unibody and employing an 18:9 screen ratio with a resolution of 720 x 1440p. Regarding the hardware, there are only 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which is expandable to 128GB.
The Alcatel 5 camera rates at 12MP in the back plus a dual 13MP+5MP selfie cam. They seem to work quite well, though it’s not the fastest device to load and snap a shot. That may be partly due to the old octa-core MediaTek 6750 processor. The battery of Alcatel 5 has a respectable size of 3000mAh, but there’s no support for fast charging. You also won’t find wireless charging or water resistance for that matter. This French handset is not the quickest and most reliable phone out there, but the company obviously has to compromise somewhere to keep the price down. ALCATEL 5 is now available for $280.
