Good news for smartwatch lovers out there! LG Watch Timepiece is going to debut soon in Korea, and then launch globally after that. Keep reading for more details!
LG Watch Timepiece design and specs
Those waiting for the new LG Watch will soon be able to get one, reveals an exclusive report published by Android Headlines. According to this source, LG upcoming smart wearable is a hybrid that combines a highly precise quartz movement and a micro gearbox with a bright module. This module comes loaded with Wear OS, making the Watch Timepiece the first LG wearable to run it out of the box.
In addition, the report above reveals some info about the LG Watch Timepiece specs. In details, it has an IP68-rated stainless steel body, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor, 768 MB LPDDR3 memory; 4 GB of internal eMMC storage, and a 1.2-inch LCD panel with 360 x 360 pixels. Although this wearable does not offer any kind of cellular support, it comes with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2, as well as a USB Type-C 2.0 port.
Sadly, it looks like NFC or GPS are not in the vision, but at least the users of the LG Watch Timepiece could get up to 100 days of autonomy out of the 240mAh battery. TheWatch is expected to get a special edition companion as well, but there is nothing special about it. If the rumours are true, the LG Watch Timepiece Plus will have the same specs. But its retail package will include both a silicone and metal strap, as well as an additional charging cradle.
LG Watch Timepiece release date and price
There are two colour options: Cloud Silver and New Aurora Black. LG Watch Timepiece release date falls in June, to launch first in Korea, and then internationally. Since the previous powerful LG Watch Sport made its debut in early 2017 for $350, we expect the LG Watch Timepiece price is around $300 or less, most likely around the US$250 sweet spot.
