After a long time waiting, LG finally unveiled their latest addition to the V series this October: LG V40 ThinQ. Notably, the new LG flagship arrives with an impressive five cameras on the rear and font. Among the top end feature, the new LG handset also comes with a BoomBox speaker. Now, let’s take a deeper look into this premium phone. Firstly, LG V40 ThinQ specs sport a 6.4-inch FullVision QHD+ P-OLED display with 1440×3120 resolution, HDR10 support and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
As we reported before, the LG phone screen has a notch at the top and a small chin. Meanwhile, the sides of the smartphone are truly bezel-less. The screen packs a fantastic 537PPI pixel density. Under the hood, the LG handset takes power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6GB RAM. There is also 64GB of internal storage and a microSD card which can expand up to massive 512GB. Besides, the LG phone also runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with LG’s custom launcher on top.
Now, let’s move on to the photography system! LG V40 ThinQ camera packs a triple set up of a 12MP sensor with 1.4µm pixels, a brighter f/1.5 lens and Optical Image Stabilization with another dual 12MP tele-camera (f/2.4 lens) + 16MP ultra wide-angle. Additionally, the rear cameras can capture 4K video at 60FPS and 1080p at 240FPS super-slow motion. On the front, the LG device features other dual lenses of 8MP with f/1.9 aperture and 5MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Furthermore, LG V40 ThinQ equips a rather humble 3,300mAh battery pack. But the smartphone supports Fast Charging on both wired as well as wireless charging modes. Lastly, the handset supports QuickCharge 3.0 standard.
