LG V40 Storm with 20MP rear camera, 4000mAh battery coming SOON!
The code name for LG’s next V series smartphone has been out. The usually reliable tipster Evan Blass took to Twitter to reveal that the LG V40 Storm with a 20MP camera and 4000mAh battery is coming in the third quarter of this year!
LG V40 Storm is seemingly in the making with 400maH batt
A quick recap: LG introduced the V30S ThinQ with integrated AI features and up to 256GB storage at the MWC in February. Besides, the company is all set to introduce the LG G7 ThinQ – codename Emma – the next flagship smartphone in the ‘G Series’ in less than two weeks. According to Evan Blass, an LG V40 Storm is also in the making and coming soon. The new phone should be a valid successor to last year’s V30 model – which the V30S ThinQ indeed isn’t, as it’s pretty much the same device (albeit with new AI-powered software tricks, and more memory).
He also said that the phone would debut sometime in late summer or early fall. So there are chances we can expect it at the IFA 2018 on August 31st, same time with the LG V30 launch last year. Now let’s take a look at its specs and design! LG V40 Storm specs include a large 6.2-inch P-OLED screen (1440 x 2960 pixels). Under the hood, LG V40 runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and Android 8.0 operating system. For the storage, LG V40 Storm offers 4GB RAM and 128GB/256GB ROM, which is expandable to 256GB.
In addition, LG V40 Storm camera provides a 20MP lens on the rear with an aperture of f/1.9 and another a 12MP front-facing shooter. Lastly, LG V40 arrives with a non-removable Li-ion 4000mAh power pack.
