Just last week, LG finally unveiled their latest addition to their G series: LG G7 ThinQ. Notably, this new LG flagship arrives with a notch-screen and AI-featured camera system. However, the LG G7 ThinQ only port an LCD panel, instead of the OLED one like previous V30 series. According to the latest report, the Korean brand is planning to reserve the OLED for their “more innovative” series of smartphones, the V-series. While the G series belongs to the mainstream category, the LG V segment is more premium.
Furthermore, LG explains that despite being flagship series, the LG V generation belongs to the upper-tier of flagship smartphones line. As a result, we can expect to see the upcoming LG V40 display including the OLED panels. For now, here are what we can look forward to in the next member of the LG V series. Firstly, LG V40 specs include a large 6.2-inch P-OLED screen. Besides, the LG V40 display has the resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection equipped.
On the other hand, the LG flagship comes running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Under the hood, this LG handset also runs on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
