LG Q7: a “water-down” variant of the LG V30 flagship!
For the first quarter of 2018, LG has been busy dropping the hints about their upcoming premium G7 handset. However, the Korean brand didn’t forget about their potential mid-range smartphone market. Notably, we came across once interesting information today about their next release. Apparently, LG has filed for a trademark for the name LG Q7 with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).
Previously, they released the LG Q6 and LG Q8 last year. The LG Q6 was a mini version of the LG G6 flagship. Furthermore, LG Q8 was also another lower variant of the LG V20. As a result, there is a high chance that the LG Q7 is going to follow the path and take after the LG V30 handset. In terms of the display, LG Q7 specs include a 5.7-inch P-OLED capacitive touchscreen (1440 x 2880 pixels).
Under the hood, this LG phone can run on a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset. Regarding the storage, the LG Q7 arrives with 128GB, 4 GB RAM or 64GB, 4 GB RAM. Additionally, there is also an expandable microSD up to 256GB. As for the operating system, the LG handset comes running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. How about the photography system? LG Q7 camera sports a dual 16 MP (f/1.6, 1 µm, 3-axis OIS, PDAF) + 13 MP (f/1.9, no AF) rear snapper. On the front, we can expect to see a 5 MP (f/2.2, 1/5″, 1.12 µm) selfie lens. Lastly, this LG phone is going to equip a non-removable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery box. Besides, the LG mid-range handset supports fast battery charging with the capability of 50% in 36 min (Quick Charge 3.0).
LG Q7 release date and price
