LG Q7 Android One variant to launch in the US
Back in 2014, Google announced the Android One program as part of the company’s initiative to expand emerging markets in Southeast Asia. Android One offers users a taste of stock Android even if they can’t afford the latest Google flagship. Besides, it is already present in the United States thanks to the launch of the Nokia 6 2018. However, it looks like LG plans to introduce its own Android One smartphone as well.
The information isn’t that surprising since a rumour back in January 2017 claimed Google plans to launch a mid-range Android One smartphone. LG might be among the first manufacturers to build it. Today, new details about an LG smartphone powered by Android One emerged online. Apparently, the company has teamed up with T-Mobile to launch its first Android One smartphone in the United States.
The rumoured device won’t be an entirely new smartphone, but an Android One variant of the LG Q7, which was officially unveiled about a month ago. However, this Android One variant might pack slightly lower specs. For instance, there is Snapdragon 450 processor at the core, either 2 or 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM, a 5.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a 3,000 mAh battery. We also know the smartphone will include NFC, a USB Type-C port and Android 8.1 Oreo. Moreover, LG Q7 camera sports a rear 13MP camera and a front 5MP snapper.
