LG G7 ThinQ firmware update with 4K 60fps video recording and Super Bright mode!
After released in May 2018, the LG G7 ThinQ has just received its firmware update in South Korea. To be specific, the firmware update adds a new video recording mode – the coveted 4K at 60fps. At the moment, this update is only for the devices in Korea. However, we believe that this update will be rolling out to other regions within the coming weeks. Unlike the regular 30fps 4K video mode with unlimited recording time, the new 60fps mode has a limitation to just 6 minutes.
To enable the new video recording mode after updated, you need to go to Camera > Settings > Video resolution and choose the “UHD 16:9 (60fps)” option. Besides, other improvements include a “Super Bright” mode for better photos shooting when using flash. Next, let’s talk about the LG G7 ThinQ specs. In terms of the display, the G7 ThinQ includes a 6.1-inch IPS LCD (1440 x 3120 pixels) and a tall 19:5:9 ratio.
Besides that, the G7 ThinQ gets power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, along with 4GB/ 6GB RAM and 64GB/ 128GB ROM (expandable up to 400GB). In addition, the G7 ThinQ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and packs a non-removable Li-Po 3000mAh juice box. Besides that, the G7 ThinQ camera system equips a dual 16MP (f/1.6) + 16MP (f/1.9) rear sensor and an 8MP selfie lens (f/1.9).
